Magical Light in a City of Water

3D projection mapping at Osaka Central Public Hall

Every year, I make it a rule to visit 'Osaka Hikari-Renaissance', which is the annual illumination event held in Nakanoshima, the sandbank between the Dojima and Tosabori Rivers.

The most spectacular illumination I still remember was the 'Picture Book of Light', which was the first 3D projection mapping they did in the history of Hikari-Renaissance. The whole front wall of Osaka Central Public Hall was used as a screen, and multiple images flickered across the screen as though you were turning pages of a picture book. This is a must-see magical illumination event you can only experience at this time of a year!
