Moomin Comic Strips Exhibition

Explore this cartoon favorite in Ginza

Venue: Matsuya Ginza When: Sep 24th - Oct 12th 2020

The Moomins are characters in a cartoon series developed by Finnish illustrator Tove Jansson, and they've become quite popular here in Japan. From September 24th until October 12th, Moomin fans should head to Matsuya Ginza for the Moomin Comic Strips Exhibition. The event will include over 280 drawings and sketches of this much-loved troll family, many of which haven't been seen in Japan before.

The event will also have a range limited-time exhibition goods available for purchase, including items like Moomin t-shirts, cosmetic pouches, and tote bags to name a few.

The exhibition takes place from 10 am until 8 pm, but do note that last admissions take place half an hour before closing. On the final day the event finishes at 5 pm.

Getting there

The Moomin Comic Strips Exhibition takes place on the 8th floor of Matsuya Ginza.

From Ginza Station (served by the Ginza Line, Marunouchi Line, and Hibiya Line), there is direct connection to the premises from Exit A12. Alternatively, from Ginza-itchome Station (Yurakucho Line), the venue is 3 minutes on foot from Exit 9.
