Celebrity Millennium at Yokohama

Luxury cruiser anchors at Osanbashi Pier

Celebrity Millennium is a giant cruise ship of Malta registry (tonnage 91,000t, length 294m, beam 32m). When it enters Yokohama Bay, it has to wait for low tide to come before it can pass under the Yokohama Bay Bridge. The cruise tours on Celebrity Millennium are very popular because of its well-equipped facilities such as a gorgeous all-weather pool, theater, spa, casino, and library. Another reason that people choose this ship is their destinations. They offer great seasonal trips that are quite substantial. They go to Alaska and European countries in summer, and the Caribbean islands in winter - all are 1-week cruises or longer. The price of a suite room per person per night is $400-$600 dollars, not including additional expenses and tips. Considering that the sophisticated meals and all entertainment is included in that price, it might be quite reasonable!

Celebrity Millennium was at anchor in Osanbashi Pier on a day in late autumn. The beautiful white hull of the ship showed a nice contrast with the blue sky. Another cruise ship, Pacific Venus, was right next to it, and so I was able to fully appreciate how elegant her enormous body is when I looked at them side by side from Zo-no-hana Park and Yamashita Park.
