Park Hotel Tokyo, Shinbashi

Modern luxury hotel with great views of the city

The Park Hotel Tokyo is a modern luxury hotel in the center of Tokyo with fantastic views of the city. Located on the 25th floor of the Shiodome Media Tower, this ten-story boutique hotel is in short walking distance of former Tsukiji Fish Market, the Hamarikyu Garden and the Ginza shopping district. This makes it a great access point for early morning trips to Tsukiji for breakfast or sightseeing. The surrounding Shiodome area is quiet despite the multitude of tall buildings and businesses.

The atrium lounge is elegant in design and naturally lit from ceiling windows ten stories above. The 273 rooms face outward from the atrium, they are small but comfortable, quiet and tastefully decorated. The panoramic views of Tokyo Tower and the surrounding cityscape from the front desk and the rooms are breathtaking. From some rooms, on a clear day, Mt. Fuji can be seen as well. Room rates are a good value for the quality and start at 21,000 yen for a single. Preferences for Tokyo Bay and Tokyo Tower (city view) rooms can be specified. Rooms above the railway lines may be noisier and this should be taken into consideration.

The concierge is fluent in English and the staff hospitable and friendly. The hotel has a fitness room, aromatherapy massage salon and a bar. High speed internet is complimentary. An unusual feature that the hotel provides is personalized sleep consultations through which guests can choose their type of pillow and receive advice about sleeping positions and habits.

There are two main restaurants in the hotel, Hanasanshou, a one star Michelin kaiseki restaurant, and Gastronomie Francaise Tateru Yoshino, a French restaurant. There is also a breakfast buffet in the atrium lounge. In addition, there are more restaurants as well as a Family Mart convenience store in the basement of the building. Even more restaurant options can be found in the adjacent Shiodome City Center and the Caretta Shiodome shopping complex.

Getting there

The Shiodome subway station on the Oedo subway line is the closest access point to the hotel. The Yurikamome line to Odaiba also stops through Shiodome. Shinbashi JR station is just a short 7-minute walk away.
