Sakura Season at Nagoya Castle

Beautiful cherry blossoms on a historical background

Notice

The wooden restoration of Nagoya Castle’s main tower keep is expected to be completed by 2032 at the earliest. Visitors cannot enter the structure anymore as it is not considered earthquake resistant.

Latest on Nagoya Castle

During the cherry blossom season, which begins in the last week of March and lasts about until the first week of April, Nagoya Castle attracts many visitors for hanami (cherry blossom viewing). I find it wonderful when culture and nature blend into each other like this. It's supposed to be even more beautiful in the evening, when the castle and blossoms are illuminated.
