Lunch at The Scapes, Hayama

Great restaurant on the beach!

It is now the best season to enjoy the sea in Hayama, Zushi, and Kamakura! A blue sky, white clouds, and comfortable sea breeze are here in abundance along Route 134, running along the coast. I think May and June are the best months for driving. You enter a completely different world after only an hour's drive or train ride (+bus) from central Tokyo. Morito Beach is also one of the best points to view a stunning sunset silhouetted against Mt. Fuji and Enoshima Island.

There are a lot of nice restaurants here. But, if you want to enjoy really delicious vegetables, nice tender steak, and tasty deserts, a sophisticated atmosphere and stunning view, The SCAPES is for you. Their lunch course is very nice.

If you have more time, you can stay overnight here. On the upper floors of this building, there is a Jacuzzi and hotel rooms. They have only four rooms. Their sales point is: “Escape into a beautiful landscape.” In Michelin's hotel section, they have received a high rating for three consecutive years.

Thank you Tomoko Kamishima for sharing this video, I love this "meditative" Japan. I've visited some of the biggest towns in Japan more than 10 years ago and want to travel back to meet with lovely people in Japan again.
