The Handmade and Green Market at the Aqua Metropolis located in Nakanoshima Park is a perfect place to cool off and explore. The Handmade and Green Market takes place the 1st and 3rd Fridays and Saturdays of summer from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Filled with stalls selling everything from jewelry to craft beer, it has various contests, arts and craft projects, and is completely family friendly with lots of things to keep the kids occupied while you explore. Enjoy the view of the river with different open decks that open daily from 11:30am to 11:00pm. The Handmade and Green Market is a must see. It is where I found the best cup of coffee in Japan, watched craftsmen work, and learned how to cut open a peach. Perfect day out!
