To mark the arrival of spring and celebrate Japan's traditional Dolls' Festival, Starbucks Coffee Japan is releasing a limited-time Hinamatsuri-inspired drink. The new "Hinamatsuri Frappuccino® Short Size" launches nationwide on February 27th, 2026, offering a colorful and family-friendly way to enjoy the seasonal celebration.
Hinamatsuri, also known as Girls' Day, is held on March 3rd and celebrates the health and happiness of young girls. Reflecting the spirit of the occasion, the new Frappuccino is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages, with a smaller short size that is easy for children and seniors to drink. The beverage also draws on traditional festival elements, combining soft spring colors and festive flavors.
The drink features a vibrant topping of three-colored rice crackers, inspired by a traditional celebratory sweet from Kagawa Prefecture. These light, fluffy, and slightly sweet toppings come in pastel shades of peach, orange, and green, adding both texture and visual appeal. Their crisp finish contrasts with the smooth base of the drink.
At the bottom of the cup, layers of milk pudding and white peach jelly provide a gentle sweetness and a soft, bouncy texture. The body of the Frappuccino highlights a rich white peach flavor, building on the taste introduced in the brand's earlier sakura-themed beverages. A cherry blossom sauce finishes the drink, adding a delicate floral note that blends with the fruitiness of the peach for a distinctly spring-like combination.
The Hinamatsuri Frappuccino is available in short size only, priced at 638 JPY for takeout or 650 JPY for in-store dining. It will be sold at Starbucks locations across Japan, excluding some stores, while supplies last.
