Buses travel from both Iwakuni Station and Shin-Iwakuni Station to Kintaikyo bus stop. The trip takes 20 minutes and costs 300 yen from Iwakuni Station (buses every 5-15 minutes), or 15 minutes and 350 yen from Shin-Iwakuni Station (1-2 buses per hour). Bus 21 is your friend here; it ploughs the route between Shin-Iwakuni and Iwakuni Stations; the bridge stop is along the way between the two stations. From Shin-Iwakuni station, the bus stop is right in front of the steps, at the area where two park benches are. Bus 21 will drop you off quite near the bridge. To take the shuttle back to Shin-Iwakuni, you need to go to Platform 3 which is directly across the road from where the bus dropped you off at Kintaikyo.
