Tokyo Midtown Ice Skating Rink

Seasonal fun in the heart of the city

Venue: Tokyo Midtown When: Nov 17th - Feb 26th 2023

A number of ice skating rinks open in Japan over the colder months, and one of the biggest in Tokyo is located at the Tokyo Midtown complex. The rink here has been in operation for 13 years now, and it's seen by many as one of the city's best winter traditions.

The event typically runs from mid-November through until late February, and after dark the area around the rink is illuminated to create a fun and festive atmosphere.

The information was a bit hard to find on the website, I imagine it will be more prominent when the date is closer. But I was wondering, are people able to just watch the skaters? Is this free or have a charge?

There is some better info on the press release about it, if that helps! (https://prtimes.jp/main/html/rd/p/000000173.000027065.html). I find a lot of the time, companies/organizations put out the press release before it's updated on their official site!

As for watching, I don't think there's any issue/fee with doing that, although it's not specifically stated so I can't say 110%.

It's a shame, but I can't skate at all!

It's been some time now since I last ice skated, so I don't know how good my skills would be anymore, either!
