Valley of Witches: a New Ghibli Park Attraction

Enter Ghibli’s fantastical witchy worlds

On March 16, 2024, Ghibli Park opened the Valley of Witches.

This whimsical area is inspired by Studio Ghibli’s witch-related movies and brings the settings of Kiki’s Delivery Service, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Earwig and the Witch to life. As you explore the nature-entwined European townscape, you will feel as though you have been whisked away into an alternate realm.

Listed below are some of the area’s top attractions.

Please note that only Ghibli Park O-Sanpo Day Pass Premium holders can enter The Okino Residence, Howl's Castle, and The House of Witches.

The Okino Residence, or family home of Kiki from Kiki’s Delivery Service, is a two-story structure that features the witch’s shop where Kiki’s mother works, the living room, the kitchen, Kiki’s bedroom, and her father’s study. Together the plant life and diverse color palette create a cozy glimpse into the Okino family’s everyday life.

Witness Howl’s mechanical, yet strangely animalistic castle in person! Some sections of the castle even move and occasionally emit smoke, enhancing its realism. The two-story structure is home to the living room with Calcifer’s furnace and Sophie’s room, as well as Howl’s bedroom, wardrobe, and bathroom.

On the first floor, the facility sells original candy and hats, and upstairs (from the courtyard) is a bookstore called Witches’ Book Stacks, where you can buy books related to witches and magic.
