The Shōkōdo was built in 1922 as the lecture hall for Matsuyama High School, the precursor of today’s Ehime University. It stands on the original school grounds not far from Dogo Onsen. Visitors are free to walk around the outside and take photos, but if you want to go inside, you need to call a day or two in advance at (089) 913-7841. A concert is held here every year around Christmastime.
