My visit to Anpanman Museum was special for me, as Anpanman was my childhood hero. I was very excited about the museum’s presentation of this imaginary world. The wait during the visit reminded me of a nostalgic feeling I had not experienced in a long time - since discovering the truth about Santa Claus. What especially stood out was the delicately made food at the museum. Every food stall sold adorable Anpanman treats that were too cute to eat. As I watched each character dance and interact with children, and then saw the smiles that appeared on the children’s faces, it reminded me of my own childhood and made me want to return to that time. Reading the children’s wishes to Anpanman also made me smile. It is a place where one can truly engage with the power of imagination and disregard reality, even if it is only for a little while.
