One of the great pleasures of visiting seaside towns in Japan is that you can be sure of incredible seafood restaurants. Kaisen Sakaba Nanayan is a small izakaya-style with a friendly, intimate atmosphere. They offer many seafood dishes, local specialities like udon noodles or tofu in dark sauce, and a lot more. My favorite thing was the grilled yellowtail (buri in Japanese). This restaurant is a great place to eat and drink with friends in Toba.
