Ohira-san, a hill (341 meters high) at the northern edge of the Kanto Plain, commands a superb view of the whole Kanto area. Starting from JR Ohira-shita Station on the Ryomo Line, go up the stone steps beside a tiny shrine, Kyakujin-jinja. Follow the road, and you can reach the Kenshin-daira View Point in 30 minutes. After walking along the road for 15 minutes more, you will reach Ohira-san-jinja Shrine, believed to be in existence for more than 2000 years. After that, go down a steep mountain path to Daichu-ji Temple (30 minutes) and finally, come back to the station along a path through the trees.
