Temple fifteen in the Shikoku Ohenro pilgrimage is also known as the Official State Temple. For each of the four prefectures of Shikoku island there is one official state sponsored temple; Kukubunji is Tokushima’s. The entire grounds have been designated as a prefectural historical site. Interestingly, there is one paper amulet sold here that is supposed to ward off termites and other bad luck if you stick it on the wall of your bathroom. To get there, catch a Yorii-naka bound bus from Tokushima station and get off at the Kokununji-mae stop. From there it is about a 10 minute walk.
