The Fukushima prefecture antenna shop MIDETTE in Nihonbashi, Tokyo will be hosting a special event for sake fans. The 22 Fukushima Gold Prize winning sake brands from the 2016 sake brewing year’s “Annual Japan Sake Awards” will be available for sampling through 3 set sake flights.
Visitors will be able to select their choice of the three premium sake samples for 1,000 yen (inc. tax). A raffle will also take place (while supplies last).
Fukushima prefecture has been awarded the most Gold Prizes in the “Annual Japan Sake Awards” for 5 consecutive years – every year since the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. Promoting sake is not just a point of pride, but an economic means of recovery for the prefecture.
MIDETTE sells plenty of Fukushima food products, souvenirs, and sake. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy shopping and eating at the event.
Event Period: 6/26 (Mon)–6/30 (Fri) 16:00–19:30 // 7/1 (Sat)–7/2 (Sun) 11:00–17:30
There may be times when there are fewer sake brands to sample due to delivery schedule. Furthermore, from 6/26 (Mon)–6/30 (Fri), 11:00–16:00, 3 store selected brands from the 22 will be served.
