Hotel Asia Center of Japan

Value accommodation in Akasaka

I recently stayed at Hotel Asia Center of Japan for two nights to serve as my base for a weekend out on the town. My place in Tokyo is quite far from Central Tokyo, so being able to have easy access to many of the hip and happening destinations like Shibuya and Roppongi, I was able to go out for the evenings and not worry about missing the last train and suffering from an exorbitantly high taxi fare. I was able to go out for as long as I wanted and return via taxi at a cost that didn't break my budget.

Booking with Hotel Asia Center of Japan is easy on their website. I booked just days before my stay and I was able to snag at rate at less than 5,000 yen per night. This is an incredible deal considering the prime location, just minutes from The National Art Center, Tokyo, Akasaka Sacas, and Tokyo Midtown.

The problem with travelers forgetting their toothbrushes or razors at home is solved; there are a number of toiletry items (and water bottles) available for free near the front desk. Another perk is the free (wired) Internet available in every guest room. For those that left their laptops at home, PCs are available at a small charge in the lobby. The lobby area also has an extensive map and guide section.

The rooms are both clean and efficient. The size of my double room was on the smaller side but that is to be expected in Tokyo. On the bed you will find a Japanese-style robe to wrap up in after a long day of sightseeing. Other amenities in the room include hair dryer, cable television, green tea, mini fridge, and my favorite, fabric refreshing spray. I think that someone in charge at the hotel knows that many of the guests are experiencing the nearby smoke-filled nightlife scene.

In the morning, help yourself to the complimentary breakfast featuring simple Western and Japanese foods like eggs, toast, natto, and miso soup. The breakfast is available from 7:00-10:00, so be sure to wake up in time for a bite to eat.

Overall, Hotel Asia Center of Japan provides a suitable room with kind and helpful staff. The sheer number of amenities was a surprising but welcome service. Budget-minded travelers will really appreciate the value and location of this no-frills hotel. It's no wonder that Hotel Asia Center of Japan has won numerous titles including Trip Advisor Traveler's Choice and Expedia Insiders' Select awards.
