“Tokyo station is a very nice spot. You should go there if you have time. It is a beautiful building and the illumination is great”. These are words some Japanese friends of mine told me sometime ago. Finally I decided to follow their advice. One evening I took the train and stopped there to check it through my own eyes. And yes, they were right! However, you can improve this experience if you visit Kitte Garden. It is a spectacular rooftop garden situated in the new Kitte Marunouchi department store opened in the old post office building right next to Tokyo station. This garden has a green grass and wooden deck so you can relax and enjoy 180 degree views of Tokyo station and the Marunouchi area.
