One of the best things that can happen to a tourist is getting lost. Because of those little route mistakes, we get to discover the most beautiful, hard to find parts of the place we’re visiting.
In Japan, it’s very easy to get lost. I would suggest you stay calm, follow your instincts and remember to take photos along the way. If you need to find your way back here’s the question that will save you: “Eki wa doko desu ka?" (Where is the station?).
My latest “getting-lost-adventure” was in Shinjuku, Tokyo’s subcenter or fukutoshin (副都心). Shinjuku is the area that surrounds Tokyo's busiest station, Shinjuku Station, and is well known for being a major business, commercial and entertainment center.
