Nagoya Creston Hotel

Lovely hotel in Sakae, Nagoya

If you’re looking for accommodation with modern facilities, easy walking distance to Subway stations, right next to the city shopping area and not far from Nagoya attractions, Nagoya Creston Hotel is the answer for you.

Nagoya Creston Hotel is located on the 9th to 11th floors above Parco Shopping Center (West Building), a large fashion Shopping Center in the heart of Sakae, the main shopping, leisure and entertainment area of Nagoya city. Inside Parco, there are many well-known brand name stores such as COMME des GARÇONS, Paul Smith, Nudie Jeans, Onitsuka Tiger, CK, Sisley, ABC MART Premier stage, a theater and Tower Records, home of music and instruments. At the Department Store 7th and 8th floors are many famous restaurants, among them Sweets Paradise, an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet.

The hotel is a member of the HMI Hotel Group that operates nationwide 53 hotels and ryokan. For Nagoya Creston Hotel there are 65 guestrooms equipped with all amenities. I had an opportunity to experience the Deluxe Room that the hotel offers. Separate from the rest of the hotel guestrooms, it connects to a roof top garden decorated beautifully with a Christian chapel (which the hotel offers for wedding receptions). The rooms are spacious and include a comfortable living room and a private bedroom. In the bathroom is a western bathtub with a window so that guests can enjoy viewing the bright lights of Nagoya City at night while soaking in the tub. The room is fully equipped with all amenities including two televisions with cable TV and Wi-Fi, among others. Creston's standard rooms, including single and twin/double, are also impressive. The hotel provides 42 small but conveniently designed rooms. For guests who enjoy a nightcap, Bar Queen's is recommended and allows you to relax overlooking Sakae, illuminated at night. King's Bench is the hotel's all-day dining room for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, coffee time and dinner, from 7am until 9pm (last order).

The service is great. The staff can communicate and understand English. They are helpful whenever you need help. If you need to receive any correspondence, the hotel can receive mail for those staying at the hotel (i.e. those listed in the booking records). The highlight of the hotel and what I really enjoyed was the breakfast, which was a mixture of Japanese and western food. There are a variety of foods including salads, toast, and Japanese breakfast, rice with curry, sausage, ham, sweet Japanese omelette, crab sashimi and omelette. The menu changes each day, alongside the regular serving of hot drinks (tea, coffee), cereal and fresh fruit. Breakfast is served from 7am to 9am.

To get to the hotel you can take Nagoya Subway, purple Meijō Line to Yabachō Station [M04] exit 4. From the station it will be 5 minutes walking to the hotel.

For those who are looking to stay in the heart of Nagoya city, Nagoya Creston Hotel would be your hotel of choice. It's within walking distance of all of Nagoya's landmarks, including Nadya Park, Nagoya Metropolitan Museum, Nagoya Science Museum, Oasis 21, Aichi Prefectural Museum and Osu Kannon. Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Jingu Shrine are just a short ride by bus or taxi.
