If you’re planning a Tokyo trip this summer and happen to be a Pokémon fan, Grand Hyatt Tokyo is about to make your itinerary a whole lot sweeter.
To celebrate Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, the luxury Roppongi hotel is launching a limited-time “Pokémon 30th Anniversary Collaboration Grand Adventure” event from June 20 to August 31, 2026. The collaboration brings together themed food, exclusive desserts, collectible merchandise, and even Pokémon-inspired hotel stays, all with an adventure theme centered around Pikachu and friends.
One of the biggest highlights is the Flying Pikachu Summer Parfait, a colorful dessert inspired by Pikachu floating away on a balloon adventure. Served at the hotel’s Italian café Fiorentina, the parfait layers peach jelly, coconut jelly clouds, mascarpone mousse, and fruity ice cream flavors including mango, raspberry, pistachio, and blueberry. It’s one of those desserts that looks almost too cute to eat.
Meanwhile, steakhouse Oak Door is going full Pikachu mode with an all-yellow Flying Pikachu Gourmet Burger Set. The burger comes in bright yellow potato buns branded with Pikachu artwork and is paired with curry fries, chilled corn soup, and a vivid yellow soda. It’s fun, over-the-top, and exactly the kind of themed dining experience Pokémon fans travel to Japan for.
The event also includes a collection of exclusive sweets and souvenirs available through the hotel’s pastry boutique. There’s a luxurious mango cake inspired by Pikachu, adventure-themed trunk cases filled with cookies and chocolates, and special Baton Chocolat sets decorated with Poké Ball and Pokémon-inspired designs.
For travelers wanting the full experience, Grand Hyatt Tokyo is also offering themed accommodation packages with Pokémon-decorated rooms and exclusive amenities like Pokémon passport cases and special breakfasts.
