Sankeien Gardens in Autumn

A short walk from Hiroshima airport is Sankeien- a lovely Japanese garden to visit. In Autumn, many of the leaves turn to yellow, red, orange while some stay a vibrant green, offering a beautiful contrast. In November and December, the temperature is cooler, but there are still many pleasant sunny days with clear, blue skies. It is easy to lose track of time by wandering around in these lovely gardens, feed the hungry koi in the carp pond, enjoy a traditional cup of tea in the tea house or bring lunch to enjoy in these peaceful surroundings.
