Touch Japanese history and tradition at the host site of the G7 Summit, Ise-Shima.
In early summer of this year, on May 26th and 27th, the G7 Summit will be held in the city of Shima, located inside the Ise-Shima National Park.
Prime Minister Abe detailed his reasons for selecting Ise-Shima to be the host site,
"It is a place where the leaders of the world can come feel and experience the natural beauty of Japan, its rich culture, and traditions."
Ise-Shima is a place which embodies the deep respect the Japanese hold towards nature, and the spirit of the Japanese people. It is the 'homeland for the souls of the Japanese people'.
