400 Years of European Painting 2021

Masterpieces from the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum

The Tokyo Fuji Museum is located in Hachioji, Tokyo, and is home to approximately 30,000 works of art from various genres. A special event at the Okayama Prefectural Museum of Art looks specifically at items from the Tokyo Fuji Museum's European painting collection, which spans a timeframe of around 400 years.

The event will showcase works from the likes of Tintoretto, Anthony Van Dyck, François Boucher, J. M. W. Turner, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cezanne, and Amadeo Modigliani, with over 80 pieces in total on display.

Adult admission to the exhibition is priced at 1300 yen, and no advance reservations are required.

Getting there

The Okayama Prefectural Museum of Art is located approximately 15 minutes on foot from the JR Okayama Station's Korakuen Exit (East Exit). Alternatively, there are bus services available from the station if you'd rather not walk - take the Uno Bus until you reach the dedicated stop for the museum.
