Only about two hours from Tokyo is a pretty little tourist town named Nagatoro. While there are many things to do in Nagatoro including exploring Iwadatami, shooting rapids on the Arakawa River, visiting Hodosan Shrine and taking the cable car to the top of Mount Hodo, just wandering around the old-fashioned streets makes for a very pleasant past-time.
