Aki Kondo is a picture book author and character designer who is responsible for creating the likes of Rilakkuma, Rabbit Mofy, Ofuton-san, and Yumeginkou to name just a handful. A special exhibition at Shibuya Parco this summer will explore a variety of Kondo's hand-drawn original works to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her illustration career.
This is Kondo's first solo exhibition, and before heading to Tokyo the exhibition took place in Hiroshima and Aomori.
Along with the works on display, the event will also include a variety of merchandise available to purchase, including deco tapes, keychains, and more.
Admission to the event is priced at 800 yen, but junior high school students and younger receive free admission.
