Rising Stars Exhibition 2021

Exploring works from up-and-coming artists at Ginza Six

Venue: Ginza Six (Ginza Tsutaya) When: Oct 2nd - Oct 15th 2021

Most art exhibitions shine a spotlight on creatives who are already well-established, but a special event at Ginza Six (Ginza Tsutaya bookstore) will focus on some up-and-comers in the industry. "Rising Stars" will feature the work of four young artists who were born between 1993 and 1997: Yurina Okada, Rie Shinno, Clara Spilliaert, and Kohei Yamada.

Each of the four artists in the exhibition has a distinctly different style — Okada's works combine painting and photography, Shinno's 3D art incorporates various objects like rocks and crayons, Spilliaert explores the relationship between the natural world, animals, and plants, and Yamada creates his works through the use of lines and patterns.

Admission to the exhibition is free of charge.

Ginza Tsutaya is located under five minutes on foot from Ginza Station (Tokyo Metro Ginza, Hanzomon, and Marunouchi lines), or around the same distance from Higashi-Ginza Station (Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and Toei Asakusa Line).
