Sensoji at Ueno

A glimpse of Japanese Culture through Northern Tokyo

Northern Tokyo holds a lot of charm with its ever so popular Buddhists temple, Sensoji. Directing you to this stunning temple is Nakamise, an over 200 meter street that leads you from the temples outer gate to its second gate. Along this street you'll find plenty of unique shopping stalls, an abundance of traditional and exciting foods, and friendly people welcoming you to one of Tokyo's most loved sites. The iconic Tokyo Skytree and the peaceful Ueno Park are also just around the corner. A trip to this splendid area of Tokyo is definitely a must!

Asakusa is always crowded! :) Last time I enjoyed it at night as there were few people and illumination.
