If you're planning a visit to Tokyo this March, there's a limited-time rail collaboration that may be of interest for Pokémon fans!
Metamon, better known as Ditto in English, is the focus of a special campaign on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line. The promotion runs from March 2nd to March 15th, 2026, in conjunction with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 title "Pokémon Pokopia" in which Ditto appears as the main character.

The collaboration was inspired by the similarity between Ditto's body colour and the Hanzomon Line's color scheme, as well as the phonetic link between the names "Metamon" and "Hanzomon." Two 18000 series trains have been fully chartered for in-car advertising, marking the first time an entire train on the line has been reserved for this type of promotion. Inside, passengers will see displays featuring Ditto in human form from the new game, along with scenes introducing Pokémon that appear in the title.
Special advertisements will also appear within stations on the line from March 2nd to March 8th at Oshiage Station, Hanzomon Station, and Shibuya Station. Some displays at Shibuya Station are scheduled to remain in place until March 15th. A redesigned Hanzomon Line symbol featuring Ditto will also be unveiled during the campaign.
A valid ticket is required to enter the ticket gates. Please keep in mind that train operations for the chartered sets are irregular, and advertising content and schedules may change without notice.
