There are lots of places commanding a nice view of Tokyo Tower in the Tokyo metropolitan area. But not so many places provide views at the same level as your eyes. The 40F of the World Trade Center Building has an observatory called Seaside Top; it is directly connected with JR Hamamatsu-cho Station (Yamanote Line), and is open to the public throughout the year. From here, you have an amazing look at the tower, neither looking up, nor looking down. And moreover, the tower is very close and looks huge.

At dusk, the beautiful silhouette of Tokyo gradually emerges in front of you. Tokyo Tower is to the west, and at the foot of it is Zojo-ji Temple, behind that is Roppongi Hills, and on clear days, you can see Mt. Fuji. The southern view includes Rainbow Bridge, Odaiba, and The Garden of Shiba-Rikyu. If it’s fine, you will see Tokyo Skytree in the north.

There are comfortable sofas and chairs at the windows. Even on weekends the observatory is not crowded. So, this is a not so well known place to enjoy a splendid night view.
