Heading to the Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai? The Expo 2025 Visitors app promises to enhance the visitor experience at the event, with features like real-time schedules, venue maps, and information on food, drinks, and merchandise available all in the one place.
Exploring the app
There are several key sections on the main screen of the app, including the following:
- Ticket information: this directs you to an external site where you can learn more about the types of admission tickets available, and a guide on how to purchase them.
- Pavilions: this section provides more information about the 168 pavilions that will be operating at the event. Be sure to check and see if your country is represented!
- Food and Drink: this outlines all of the places where you can grab a bite to eat, including the likes of the Kura Sushi store. Opening hours, the number of seats, payment methods, and whether reservations are possible or not are all included when you tap to see more information. Conveniently, there is also information about allergy-friendly menus, children's menus, vegan and vegetarian options, and halal menus (look under the "menu features" section).
- Merchandise and Shops: this section lists the stores where you can pick up a souvenir from your visit, an outline of what they sell, their opening hours, and where at the Expo they are located.
- Services and Support: this is a convenient section for anyone looking for nearby sightseeing and accommodation information—great for planning ahead before your visit!
- FAQs: this also redirects to an external page which covers some of the main frequently asked questions about the event.
Additionally, the app includes a venue map, an events section (you can search by date to see what events are happening during your visit), and an AI Navigation option set to be released in April—this is designed to act like your own personal concierge, helping with facility recommendations, route guidance, and more.
