Wakasu Park, a campground in the Koto ward of Tokyo is a well known spot for beautiful views of Mount Fuji in winter and autumn or on a very clear day, usually after heavy rain. Although it is accessible by bus from Shin Kiba station, most visitors usually visit by car, carrying along their camping and fishing gear. Book a spot on the campground, spend the night in your tent and enjoy the beautiful scenery at Tokyo's waterfront, including views of Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree and the Tokyo Gate Bridge.

Beautiful views from Wakasu Park

View of Mount Fuji, the Tokyo Gate Bridge and the container ship Nippon Express, taken from Wakasu Park in January

The silhouette of Mount Fuji and the setting sun on a clear evening in the summer

A common sight at Wakasu Park, the anglers and their fishing lines waiting for a catch. Fishing while enjoying Mount Fuji views, an ideal Japanese setting.

Wakasu Park has an elevator which connects to the walkway on the Tokyo Gate Bridge. You can get a panoramic view of the blue waters, the bridge and Mount Fuji in the far distance (extreme right).

A stroll around the garden brings you to this huge old and rusted anchor.

The parking lot of Wakasu Park. It is quite cheap to park your car here; 500 yen for as long as you like.
