The Chiguko region of Fukuoka is known for its abundant water sources and high-quality rice, making it a perfect destination for sake production. Since ancient times, sake breweries have been lined up along the Chikugo River, and to this day the area boasts one of the largest numbers of sake breweries in Japan.
The two-day Chiguko Sake Festa celebrates this longstanding sake culture, and attendees can enjoy tasting and comparing around 100 types of local sake carefully created by 21 breweries in the region. There will also be a gourmet food area, with a variety of local eats available for purchase.
Advance tickets for the event are priced at 2000 JPY, with on-the-day tickets slightly higher at 2500 JPY. The price includes 15 alcohol sampling tickets.
