Miyagase Dam attracts quite a few spectators. From April to November, every Wednesday and every second Sunday at 11am and 2 pm two sluice gates are opened for just 6 minutes. Water pours out powerfully at a rate of 30 cubic meters a second sending clouds of spray into the air, and creating rainbows if it is sunny. Set in the mountains of Kanagawa, the surrounding scenery is very beautiful. Spacious Kenritsu Aikawa Park acts as the gateway to the dam, and if you like farms you can visit nearby Hattori Farm at the same time.
