Japanese painting has evolved with modernization, and The "Realism of Life: Masterpieces of Nihonga" exhibition at the Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Modern Art Hayama explores this progression. The event will showcase around 60 different works from various Japanese artists that cover realism, abstract art, and more.
Some of the artists featured at the event include Setsu Asakura, Fuku Shoji, Fumiko Hori, and Yasuko Shibata. Adult admission to the event is priced at 1200 yen.
The Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Modern Art Hayama is located around 20 minutes by bus from the Zushi-Hayama Station, served by the Keikyu Zushi Line. From the station, take the Keihin Kyuko (Keikyu) Bus (either No.11 or 12) until you reach the Sangaoka: Kanagawa Kenritsu Kindai Bijutsukan-mae Stop.
For those who are driving to the venue, take the Yokohama-Yokosuka Road, get off at the Yokosuka interchange, and then take Route 27/ Yokosuka Hayama Route for just over 7 kilometers. Parking is available on-site.
