Beyond Transcendental Techniques

A special exhibition at Yokohama's Sogo Museum of Art looks into the works of Yoshio Yoshimura (1950 - 2013), who was revered for his pencil drawings. The pieces on display at the event will be divided into three sections: "Everyday Life Scenes", "A Forest of Self-Portraits", and "Myriad of Blossoming Flowers".

The "Myriad of Blossoming Flowers" section is home to some of Yoshimura's most renowned works, including pieces depicting Japanese wisteria and cosmos.

Getting there

The Sogo Museum of Art is part of the Sogo Yokohama department store. It can be accessed within three minutes on foot from Yokohama Station, which is served by a variety of lines including the Tokaido Main Line, the Yokohama Line, and the Yokosuka Line.

For those who plan to drive to the venue, there is paid parking available at the Sogo Parking Building. The building can accommodate up to 2500 vehicles, and parking is charged at 340 yen for every 30 minute increment,
