Aspecial exhibition taking place at the Mie Prefectural Art Museum looks at the works of Miquel Barceló (1957 -), who is revered as a master of Spanish contemporary art. The event will showcase around 100 of Barceló's works, with pieces on display that were inspired by his travels to Paris, Africa, and even the island of Mallorca in his home country. There will be large canvas pieces, ceramic items, watercolor art, sketches, and more for attendees to enjoy.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 1000 yen, and no advance reservations are required.

Getting there

The Mie Prefectural Art Museum is located a ten-minute walk from the West Exit of Tsu Station, which is served by both JR and Kintetsu Lines. Alternatively, buses are available from the station - get on the Mie Kotsu loop-line bus bound for "Tsu-eki nishiguchi" from the West Exit. After about two minutes, get off at the "Bijutsukan mae" stop. From there, the museum is just a minute away on foot.
