Kanahebisui Shrine Flower Festival

Peonies and wisteria at this Miyagi-based shrine

Venue: Kanahebisui Shrine When: Early - Mid May 2024

People visit Miyagi's Kanahebisui Shrine to pray for luck in the business and financial realms, but it's also a popular spot for flower fans. During the spring months, the shrine grounds are filled with color thanks to a dedicated peony garden and a 300-year-old wisteria tree, and an annual festival takes place when the blooms are at their best.
