MANGA⇔TOKYO is a special exhibition taking place at the Oita Prefectural Art Museum, and it looks at Japanese manga, anime, games, and special effects works across the metropolitan area of Tokyo. The event was held in France in 2018 to rave reviews and around 30,000 visitors, and the revamped exhibition returns to Japan with a host of original drawings and production materials for guests to enjoy.
Adult admission to the event is priced at 1400 yen.
The Oita Prefectural Art Museum is located around 15 minutes on foot (or a five minute taxi ride) from Oita Station, served by the Nippo Main Line, the Hohi Main Line, and the Kyudai Main Line.
For those who plan to drive to the museum, it's around a 10 minute drive from the Oita Interchange of the Oita Expressway. Both outdoor and undercover on-site parking is available - it's free for the first 30 minutes, ¥200 for 30 minutes to an hour, and then charged at ¥100 for every 30 minutes thereafter.
