Japan is home to some fantastic music festivals, and the new Meat Meets Music Fes at the Saitama Super Arena pairs six days of themed music performances with a variety of meat dishes for attendees to enjoy.

Each day of the event falls under a different genre, and they are as follows:

  • November 23rd: Party
  • November 24th: Rock
  • November 25th: Dance Battle
  • November 26th: Anisong and Net Culture Songs
  • November 27th: Male Idol Groups
  • November 28th: Female Idol Groups

Some of the meat options that attendees can try include aged Saga A4 and A5 steaks, Hokkaido beef cutlets, gyoza, Xiaolongbao using Koedo Kurobuta pork, and plenty more. Meal tickets in ¥ 700 denominations can be purchased at the event, and each meat dish is priced between ¥ 700 and ¥ 1400.

While some of the music performances are free, others require advance tickets – please visit the official website for details.

Getting there

The Saitama Super Arena is located just three minutes on foot from Saitama- Shintoshin Station, which is served by the JR Keihin-Tōhoku Line, Utsunomiya Line, and Takasaki Line, or seven minutes on foot from Kita-Yono Station on the JR Saikyo Line.

For those who opt to drive, on-site parking is available at a rate of 400 yen for the first hour, and 200 yen for every 30 minutes thereafter. Do note that because parking is limited, public transportation is advised wherever possible.
