6 Culture 鎌倉 蛭子神社 Lily 境内にあるご本殿は1923年に関東大震災に遭って倒壊してしまいましたが、1933年に再建されて現在に至っています。神社名の蛭子は、えびすではなく「ひるこ」と読みます。現在の本覚寺や夷堂橋付近には、かつて夷堂がありました。夷堂は鎌倉幕府の鬼門の鎮守とされ、蛭子神社の起源です。
