Within the grounds of Ishiyamadera there are many different areas and points of interest, but one of my favorites is Muyu-en. You can walk over red bridges across a series of iris edged ponds full of colorful koi, and follow the stepping stones to the small rocky waterfall, or you can just sit in the pavilion and drink in the beauty of the garden.
