There are 37 National Park Resort Villages, also called Kyukamura Hotels, in Japan, and as the name suggests they are all situated within a National Park. So does the Kyukamura Hotel Nikko-Yumoto, right on the shore of lake Yuno (Yuno-ko in Japanese) and surrounded by natural forest. The location is top; Yutaki Falls is just a couple of minutes by car (or a nice 30-minute walk along the lake), the Senjogahara plateau, Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Falls, just to name a few.
