Quietly tucked away upstairs on the third floor along a busy street in Shinjuku is a humble-looking shop called Bibliophilic & bookunion, a place that sells mostly second-hand books on music and smells of wood and the pages of a novel.
Here you can find a lot of biographies of singers and bands as well as posters and other collectables. Some of the books sold here are new but most books are in Japanese. The English ones are hidden amongst all the other books, however they’re not too difficult to spot because you can tell from the title on the spine of the book.
Other than books this place also sells stationery items that bibliophiles may enjoy, such as leather book covers, various notebooks, bookmarks, tote bags and even bookshelves.
