Shingen Takeda moved this temple from Isawa to Kofu, and his wife's grave is in the cemetery. Takeda's own grave is at a nearby location. Enko-in is one of the Kofu Gozan temples located near between Kofu JR Station and Kai-Zenkoji. Many old cherry trees around the temple must create lovely spring scenes. There is some wonderful landscaping with rocks in the garden, and you can see views out over Kofu.

Main Hall of Enko-in

Large vase standing at one side of the main hall

Lotus growing in a pot

Kanon Statue stands behind a huge rock

Masterful landscaping with rocks

There are many cherry trees and some of them appear very old
