Shingen Takeda moved this temple from Isawa to Kofu, and his wife's grave is in the cemetery. Takeda's own grave is at a nearby location. Enko-in is one of the Kofu Gozan temples located near between Kofu JR Station and Kai-Zenkoji. Many old cherry trees around the temple must create lovely spring scenes. There is some wonderful landscaping with rocks in the garden, and you can see views out over Kofu.
