En Route to Impressionism - Nagoya 2021

French Paintings from the Reims Fine Arts Museum

From April 10th until June 6th, the Nagoya City Museum of Art is hosting a special exhibition of 19th century French paintings from the Reims Fine Arts Museum collection, and it’s filled with a treasure trove of incredible works. There will be masterpieces on display from Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, who was seen as one of the greats of landscape painting, through to impressionists like Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir, and Camille Pissarro.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 1400 yen on weekdays, and 1500 yen on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Getting there

The Nagoya City Museum of Art is located around 7 minutes on foot from Osukannon Station (exit #2), served by the Tsurumai Line, or around 8 minutes on foot from Fushimi Station (exit #5), which is served by the Higashiyama Line and the Tsurumai Line.

Since there is no dedicated parking lot at the museum, public transportation is advised wherever possible.
