Aichi's Oagata Shrine is home to a plum grove with over 300 weeping trees in shades of red, pink, and white. Each year a plum festival is held to celebrate their beauty, along with a range of additional events for guests to enjoy. Ikebana (flower arranging) displays, taiko drum performances, and even a tea ceremony are just some examples of the fun on offer.
Typically there is also a concert at the festival, however for the 2021 event this has been canceled in an effort to prevent transmission of the novel coronavirus.
Admission to the festival is free.
