Held in the Nango district of Aomori's Hachinohe City, the Nango Summer Jazz Festival is one of Japan's leading jazz events. With a history of over three decades, the festival includes performances by established jazz artists alongside up-and-comers in the industry.
In addition to the music performances, the event will include a variety of food stalls selling local specialties such as Nango soba and fresh blueberries.
Please note that this is a paid event, with admission priced at 6000 yen for advance tickets or 7000 yen on the day.
Getting there
The Nango Summer Jazz Festival takes place at the Cuckoo Forest Echo Land outdoor stage. The venue can be accessed in just two minutes from the Hachinohe Expressway's Nango Interchange, and free on-site parking is available for up to 800 vehicles.
For those visiting via public transport, a free shuttle service will operate from Hachinohe Station's West Exit to the venue – departures will take place at 11am and 1pm, with the travel time taking approximately 45 minutes.
