You may not know it, but in Fukui, when you arrive at the JR Fukui station late at night (after 9 p.m.) it is hard to find a place to have a late dinner. Restaurants in Fukui close early! But rest assured, there's one good place that stays open until 11PM near the station; HACCHOUYA, Fukui. At this restaurant, you can enjoy not only local Fukui food but also specialties from nearby Ishikawa prefecture as well, since the restaurant originated in Ishikawa. They have a variety of tasty Japanese dishes and local sake. Most importantly, it's open till 11PM! HACCHOUYA is surely Fukui locals' and tourists' savior restaurant! Prices depend on what you order, but it could be around 3,000 to 5,000 yen.
